Masters Company

Due to Covid we lost all our Masters Company. (10th-12th Graders with theatre experience.} The Masters company in the past has stage-managed many of the younger groups shows, and directed and even written some of their own.

The Masters Company is an auditioned company of 10th , 11th and 12th graders who have a serious commitment to theater arts and to YPPC. Tenth graders also need to have had at least one year of acting classes at YPPC, preferably in the Apprentice class. During the school year, the Masters company usually presents 2 full length productions, the December holiday play and a production of student directed one-act plays, usually in the Spring. Rehearsals are usually on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 and Saturdays from 3:30-5:30. There is no fee for membership in the Masters Company, but members are expected to participate in three productions during the school year or two productions and the Summer Music Theater Camp, for which they pay a reduced fee. Masters Company members are expected to be on time for rehearsals, meet line deadlines, help with technical duties for Masters plays and assist with two of the younger groups shows, which usually involves helping backstage during production week and performances.

Those interested in being in the Masters company should contact Jeffryn Stephens by email at jeffryns@gmail.com. Auditions for new members this year will be held by appointment, preferably before September 15th . You will need to prepare two memorized monologues showing emotional or stylistic diversity. Total time of both monologues should not exceed three minutes or be less than two...
