Summer Camps Overview

Young Peoples Performing Company offers summer theatre camps for children from rising 4th graders through high school. The intensive summer format allows us to work on full-scale musicals as well traditional theatrical productions.

For Music Theatre Camps, we draw on the talents of Catherine Alderman, our Musical Director, and Susie Kless, our Dance Choreographer, to produce complex and challenging productions. It’s a fun, fast-paced, immersion experience with opportunities ranging from simply joining in the chorus to taking on a leading role. All students in the camp will have on-stage parts. We hold auditions for main roles before camp begins. Contact us for more information.

Our Young Adult Theatre Camp offers a two-week theatre experience with our Director, Jeffryn Stephens, culminating in two performances of a play. A combination of theatre games and acting instruction create an opportunity for fun and learning whether your child has previous theatre experience or is new to the theatre world.

Our Costumer, Loni Hudson, brings these productions to life with costumes that take the cast and audience off to King Arthur’s Court or the 19th Century Midwest or Outer Space, depending on the show!

A $25.00 non-refundable registration fee is required for all summer camp classes and subtracted from the total fee. The total fee is due the first day of class unless other arrangements are made with the director.

Partial and full scholarships are available, minus the registration fee, based on need, commitment and/or ability. There is also a 20% discount available for siblings, subtracted from the lesser fee.
