Current Members
Jeffryn Stephens, Co-Founder and Director
Co-founder of YPPC, Jeffryn has been a member of the board since YPPC’s inception in 1982. The mother of two YPPC alumni, Jeffryn currently has a third generation actively involved in the theater as three grandchildren continue the tradition of YPPC performers in the Stephens family. In addition to her responsibilities at YPPC Jeffryn teaches drama at the Durham Academy Middle School. She is an active member in the Durham Civic Choral Society. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College in Dramatic Arts with and emphasis on directing and acting and a Minor in Music with an emphasis on voice.

Libby Searles-Bohs, President
Currently our board President and a member of the board for the past 4 years, Libby is the mother of two. Her daughter Hally has been in all the plays possible for her age, plus a few bonus ones and has found YPPC to be a wonderful place to learn, grow up and connect with friends while working on theatrical projects. Libby is and accountant and farmer and holds a degree in Biology from Duke University.

Sherrill Hudson, Past President
A member of the board for 16 years, Sherrill is the mother of two grown YPPC alumni. She is an entrepreneur running her own In-Home Daycare. She attended Woodstock and now enjoys raising chickens. She majored in Philosophy.

Pam Campa, Past President
A board member since 2004, Pam is the mother of one college graduate and one teenaged daughter. Her son Darwin participated in YPPC from 1995 to 2003 and returned for the 25th anniversary production. Her daughter Marena has been involved since she was seven (2000). Pam is an artist by avocation and in addition to YPPC, co-chairs the Marketing and Membership Committee for the Durham Central Market. Her experience encompasses all aspects of cooperative market management and operation as she has held positions in sales, purchasing, membership, and human resources. Pam’s hobby is horses and she has a thoroughbred/appaloosa cross mare. Pam has an Associate of Arts degree in Biological Parks Management.

Katharine Somerville Whitmore, Past President
A board member for the past 17 years, Katharine is the mother of two grown-ish daughters, ages 23 and 20 who both participated in YPPC from kindergarten through high school. Katharine has part time positions in Duke’s undergraduate admissions office and for the Duke University String School. She loves gardening, reading and attending YPPC productions. Katharine has her AB and MA in History from Duke University.

A treasured board member for 16 years, Candy had breast cancer and took her final bow August 26th, 2009. Please visit our page honoring her life.
Anne Wylie, Costumer
Ann has been a board member since 2002 and is the YPPC Costumer. She is the mother of two grown children and came to YPPC on the recommendation of a friend whose daughter was actively involved in the Knights class. Passionate about travel, Anne has recently toured China, Africa and Japan. Anne has a BA from the University of Michigan in Liberal Arts.

Jim Chickos
A board member for 2 years, Jim is a stay at home Dad. He and his wife Cathy have three sons, TJ, Gideon and Conor who have all been very active in YPPC for the past seven years. Jim is an entrepreneur and part time bicycle mechanic. He has a BA in Chemistry from Cornell University and an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business.

Rich Kless
A board member for 3 years, Rich, his wife Susie and their twin sons Tyler and Colin are all active members in YPPC. As Theater Operations Supervisor at Duke University, Rich oversees the technical details of all of the major campus venues. In collaboration with Susie, Rich also helped to created 2 Peas in a Pod Productions in Wilmington NC which was a company of adults performing classic fairy tales as well as contemporary works for kids. Rich began performing at the age of 10 and has since been in over 100 shows, including two staff productions for YPPC.
